I am assuming you are asking how to do this instead of telling us what you are doing. You need a card with WOL (Wake on LAN). You then need to connect it to the motherboard and configure it inside of windows (or whatever OS you are using). hth-

To answer the question of remotebooting a pc containing only a video and nic card I don't know of a way using modern hardware or software. W2K has terminal services but this requires a OS which means your remote station must have a hard drive.

You would be limited to DOS. Two ways to do it. If the NIC card has a Boot ROM on it (most NIC cards have an empty socket, but a boot ROM in the socket is an option), then you could boot the system with DOS, from a Boot server. One of the other systems on the network would have to be setup as a boot server and have software and boot images.

Another way, would be to setup a boot diskette that loads client Network software that allows you to access files on network servers. You need a Network administrator who knows how to setup this software for the network you will be connecting to.
