Reply: (edit)The only way to make your connection "faster" is to get a higher bandwidth package. I put faster in quotes because bandwidth is not a measure of speed like kmh or mph. It's a common mistake people make. Bandwidth is a measure of the amount of data that passes any point in a network in a given amount of time (usually measured in seconds). Megabits per second (Mbps) is a measure of how much data passes one point in the network in one second (measured in Megabits), not how fast the data is actually travelling. There's ton's of info available on the web about optimizing your connection (google is your friend) but chances are it won't amount to much since your PC can process the data a whole lot faster than you're receiving it.

Reply: (edit)Not to sound nasty, but it doesn't sound like you have enough knowledge of networking to start playing with MTU values! The only time I've ever had to change an MTU value was to solve a problem being caused with ipsec packets. It isn't a value you should change lightly as it can cause severe problems and certainly won't increase the speed of your internet connection! Wizard ICT.
