I have a home network that I have connected to the internet via router with NAT. It is an SMC Barricade. I love it. However, I have set up scheduling rules that close down all ports at Midnight to restrict access from my kids after I go to bed. However, if they have an open connection to a web page or ongoing chat via MSN Messenger, it does not shut them down. They cannot open any new connections or web pages, but anything open is able to continue.
