Hi Everyone,
I've got two comps networked to a router, one using XP home and the other win 2000. My third, an apple powerbook has built in bluetooth and I was wondering that if I attached a usb bluetooth adapter for either pc - is it possible to either bridge the nic to the usb bluetooth or activate ICS and share the internet connection?
If this is possible, this is a cheap solution for wireless web-browsing. I would not have to buy a WAP and 802.11 card for the laptop.

I am not an expert of bluetooth so I cannot confirm this cant be done. I have not heard of this being done before, but that doesnt mean it is impossible. I would however offer the advice that bluetooth is not commonly used for access such as this due to the fact that it has nowhere near the range of 802.11x. either b a or g reaches far further then bluetooth. It is like this due to the design of it, bluetooth isnt designed to be used over very long ranges. Anyway, hth somewhat, and maybe someone can post a reply to help you, but from my knowledge this is the potential problem you will run into.
