i have a D-Link DI-604 4 port broadband router. i'd like to be able to block off certain ports from accessing the web, but i havent been able to figure it out. it needs to be connected to the lan though, so unplugging it wouldnt help. plus they can easily plug it in. any help would be appriciated. thanks

Port blocking is futile. Most pr0n comes in through http or p2p software. So if you block http, then that computer can't surf the web PERIOD. Most p2p software like Kazaa will continue to try ports until it will just fail to port 80, so unless you want to deny web surfing, you're screwed there, too.

Best things you can do is setup domain name/ip address filters for sites you know could or are being visited that contain porn, or purchase software that monitors these things for you. Also, most routers have features to allow computers to only have internet access during certain days and times, which you can restrict to when you can monitor them. To help setup the domain name/ip address filters I mentioned above, most routers also log your computers by ip addresses and where they've been surfing.
