Comment:

I have 4 pc's that I need to block from
getting to the internet, but still have
access to the our main system.

Is this a setting on each pc or can I do
this from somewhere else.

Sometimes your router has capability to block hosts accessing the net or you could utilise a proxy server with ability to block access but a simple way but aside above is that you could take out the default gateway entry in their IP configuration. This will allow them to operate on the LAN but not get on the internet.

don't give them a gateway address

Give a person a fish, they eat for a day. Suggest they internet search and they learn a skill for a lifetime.

Just to be sure im in the correct area, is that the properties of TCP/IP - If so, ip
addresses are obtained automatically.
