ordered verizon dsl 4 weeks ago. got the 1st westell versalink, and it would not connect, dsl just blinks and blinks. called tech support did all the routine stuff. they sent out tech, he ran homerun in the house tested the line said should have no trouble getting dsl here must be a defective modem. Got 2nd westell versalink and again didn't work. Went to Circuit City bought a verizon modem didn't work. They sent out tech again, he checked things said he didn't have bucket truck would have another guy come next day. sure he didn't show. so 2 days later another guy comes, he runs cat 5 says same thing dont' understand with his reading why we are not syncing. He said I'll be back with (his own personal modem westel 2200) he comes next day and sure enough the modem works. Call tech support and they are sending out 6600 westell, didn't work, just today rec'd 6610 westell. Doesn't Work! They don't have the 2200 he tells me. Well that is the only thing that seems to work in my house. Does anyone know why this could be?

The only thing I can tell you about those modems is that they have a web interface similar to linksys routers. So, it could be a setting problem. It's accessed the same way but the PC has to be connected directly to it.
