Hiya! I've had this problem for awhile, but I've never really considered it a major issue, just a large annoyance.

Occasionally when starting up a new BT task, or occasionally while downloading, my internet simply stops. The BT task goes to 0, and I'm unable to access anything on the internet. However. I can still access computers on my network, and the other computers on my network have internet access.

Any idea on what's happening? I'm more curious than trying to figure out how to fix it to be honest.

I would suggest trying to change the number of incoming connections that your bit torrent will accept. It sounds like your network card or Windows can't handle all the connections. I believe Windows XP has a limit of 10 incoming connections or something like that.
