Best way to share my ethernet connection?

Specs: Windows Vista
I have a Linksys WRT160N wireless router with four out ports on it. On port #1 I have ran a 50' Cat 5e cable thru the walls of my house to my Directv receiver in the living room. I also have a Wii that I would like to hard wire into the internet. I don't want to run a separate cable from the router to the living room. Whats the best way to share the ethernet cable that I already have there? I have DSL service that is pretty slow so I don't want to use an ethernet cable splitter and make it even slower. Should I purchase an ethernet switch and connect the Directv receiver and the Wii to the out ports of that? Will I have an IP address conflict? I only plan to use one device at a time. Thanks for any help.

If you already have a lan cable in the living room, you can can simply use a switch, to extend the amount of lan ports.
You will only get an ip address conflict, if you have configured ip addresses manually and not by DHCP.
Therefore it's up to you, to avoid ip address conflicts.
