Hello huys and gals :)
I have problem with my Belkin wireless router (with built in ADSL modem and belkin wireless pci card.
All works fine most of the time, but every now and again (about 3-4 times an hour) it drops signal, some of the time I can use the repait function in XP PRO SP2 to reconnect but most of the time I haveto reatart my PC to get a connection.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
I use AOL 9.0 btw (which I hate)
Thanks
<Matt>

Try this:
1. Click Start, point to Connect To, click Show all connections, and then double-click your wireless network adapter.
2. On the General tab, click Properties.
3. Click the Wireless Networks tab.
4. Under Preferred Networks, click your home network, and then click Properties.
5. Click Data encryption (WEP enabled).
6. Click the Association tab, and then click to clear the Network Authentication (Shared mode) check box and the The key is provided for me automatically check box, if they are selected.
7. Click the Authentication tab, and then click to clear the Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network check box, if it is selected.
8. Click OK two times to accept the changes.
98% of the population is asleep. The other 2% are staring around in complete amazement, abject terror, or both.

I've seen this happen on several Belkin routers all of the same model F5D6230. The wireless drops out every few hours, but over time it becomes a few times a minute. I've tried changing encryption settings, Wireless channels, and Authentication. Not even upgrading to the latest bios fixes the problem. If you have one of these routers it might be time to upgrade to a new one.
