|Need to reset router with original password...just forgot what that is. forgot the password that I made up|
Do you mean the user name/password to access the router settings or your wireless encryption code?
You can't access any settings if you changed the former and can't remember what you changed it to.
If you didn't change user name and P/W, then connect the router via Ethernet cable to your PC (if not already). Initial access is obtainable by typing something like, 192.168.2.1 in to the address bar of your browser.
Unless you changed it, the default user name and p/w could be admin. p/w could be left blank or could be 'admin' or whatever. This will give you access to all settings, including wireless encryption code details.
Are you setting the router back to manufacturer's settings and setting it up again from scratch? If so, you can simply hit the reset pinhole on the back of the router.
NOTE:You'll have no internet until you correctly re-enter all your ISP sign in details.
For relevant details, use Belkin Support and search for you model of router,
