I’ve installed a Belkin 4 Port ADSL/Router. The computer says it’s connected to the router but I can’t get the ADSL part to connect. I’ve done everything that Belkin says in the manual to no avail. I’ve been though the wizard and set it up as per Belkin and my ISP instructions Any ideas please.
Many Thanks

First make sure your modem is working: All the lights should be on except one and that should be blinking erratically. Then make sure your router is connected to the modem (check the plug) and that it's getting a signal from the modem via the RECEIVE light, which should be blinking in sync with the light on the modem.
Pull up the router's configuration page through your browser by entering its IP address in the Address bar. The IP address is given in your manual (usually 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1). If you can then, yes, you can connect to the router. Run the router's setup program and make sure it reports it's talking to your ISP. Your ISP's Customer Support should be able to you exact details on how to do this manually. You may have to enter the MAC address from the network adapter in your PC into the router to spoof it so your ISP will recognize you; some use this, some don't. It'll be part of the setup wizard on the router if you do.
Check the manufacturer's website for new firmware for the router and install this; they'll have instructions online how to do this.
If it still doesn't work it's entirely possible you bought a lemon: Return it for another and try again.

Thanks for that
The ASDL & Router are 1 unit. All the lights work except the ASDL & Internet lights. I've done everything you suggest already so perhaps it is a lemon and I need to get aother one.
Thanks
