I am trying to access the security area on the belkin wireless g router and it keeps asking for a password. Apparently it leaves the factory without one but trying submit with an empty entry does not work. I am trying to set up the secure 128 WEP both on the router and wireless PC card network card.

Read your manual. Unless changed most routers have a factory set user and password. Or reset the router and use the factory logon.
