Specs: Windows 7, Intel i5
Hi I have a belkin n router (F5D8636uk4 V2) does anybody know if it can be used as a wireless repeater and if so how to set up. I want to extend my wireless signal downstairs as router is upstairs and signal very weak downstairs. I know i can use an access point, but what i have read access points have to be wired via LAN which i don't want to do want a wirelsss method. Thanks

Yes it's possible. For information on how to connect the second router click on my name above in this response and read my “how-to” guide titled, “Add a second Router to your LAN

You'll want to use the scenario where you interconnect the two routers using the "LAN port to LAN port" configuration. You will want to disable DHCP on the wireless router because the DHCP on the router connected to the internet should already have DHCP configured and enabled.

You would need to google dd-wrt and see if that model is supported under dd-wrt for wireless bridging. Otherwise it does not have the feature set you desire.
