Ok... This is the last time im gonna try for help i think... i give up after this for good, it is so annoying!!
I have a belkin wired router- Model f5d52314
And a Zoom x3 5560 modem. They run 3 pcs in my house..
And i have a problem. I cant seem to open ports on my belkin, since i got my router and modem i havnt been able to. I open the port but it just doesnt respond, in other words it doesnt work!, I have been onto belkin over 10 times, they dont want to know! and also zoom, but i just get through to foriners that dont seem to have a clue, they all bring me through the stage of opening ports.. I KNOW HOW TO OPEN PORTS, IT JUST DOESNT WORK!I think it has somthing to do with my modem having a built in firewall, but when i tamper with my modem my whole network crashes for about a week and only time will solve it ::huh:
I am hoping to run into some1 that knows simply how to fix this and i would aprreciate somebody checking out the two models i gave at the top..i hope someone has had this problem before and has solved it so i can solve it too.. but if i dont get any replys then i think im just gonna burn them both and buy a new one or somthing lol. cause i am sick to death of these.. IM CURSED!!!!!
THANKS!!!!

Hi,
the Zoom X3 5560 is a modem with integrated router. It also has it's own firewall.
The Belkin f5d52314 is a router and comes with it's own firewall too.
So, have you checked, whether the ports are open, at the routers ip (Belkin).
If the ports you wanted are open, check whether the ports are open at the Zoom X3.Your problem is, that you have to open the ports on 2 firewalls.
Paul
