I'm attempting to install a Belkin Network card for a Gateway Laptop it's installed the connection light is on however it's not connecting to a network it's requiring a Network Key (WEP)what is that and where can I find that information

If its asking for a WEP then the assumption is that you are using a wireless network card.
You will find the information on how to configure WEP in the manual that came with card and the wireless router/access point you are trying to connect to.
If you don't have them to hand, go to the manufactures web site. They should have instruction manuals for all their products.

You can get the WEP security key from your system Administrator, or the owner of the Access Point the network card located. The WEP key, (Wired Equivalent Privacy key), is usually set up to keep out unauthorized users from accessing the network.
