"Any ideas what I am doing wrong."

Sorry, I'm not there watching what you are doing and you gave no information. If your modem/router is at all similar to my router, configuration comes before internet connection. How did it tell you to connect your computer to the modem/router to configure? Did you use a program that came with the modem/router or did you do it manually? Does your ISP provide IP address automatically (DHCP), or do you have a specific IP? DNS?

Terry

you need to go to your browser and, making sure that there
are no proxies set for local connections, type 192.168.2.1
into the address bar. This should take you to the login page
of the router. This Belkin router comes with no password set
for login, so just click submit, choose PPPoA then next, enter
your ISP-given username and password, and 0 and 38 in the
VCI & VPI boxes, then next, wait for about 60 seconds while
the settings are saved on the router, and you should now be
connected - it will take you back to a status page where you
should see that you are connected. Also, the DATA LED
should be solid green.

i have the same problem as the one above. I have a Belkin ADSL modem with wireless router F5d7632uk and cannot connect to the internet with it. All the LEDs on the front of the router are lit up but i cannot access any webpage. When i try changing my connection type all of them execpt for Modem Only shows Internet Status as Not Connected. But even when it is Connected in Modem Only option i cannot access the internet. I changed the options on IE to Never Dial a Connection and also unchecked automatically detect settings to no luck.
