batch file for reconnecting internt

Specs: Windows XP
I am having a problem with my network connection. every two hours or so my network connection disconnects and then appears like its trying to reconnect.. ie the little icon in the sys tray shows it trying to aquire an ip address. it will exentually stop and show an X then it will start aquiring again. The weird thing is that it never will automattically reconnect, what i have to do is rightclick the icon and click repair... then all of a sudden its good for another 2 hours before it does it again. I was hoping there was a possibility to create a batch file that will... on disconnect ... ipconfig /release .. ipconfig /renew ... so that way when my internet disconnects it will reconnect so i can remotedesktop in from school to work on my homework. TY.. and i hope to get a response.

What kind of connection do you have? It shouldn't be disconnecting unless you have your NIC configured for that.

What a shame" - Shinedown
