Hello All,

Ok, what exactly is an unmanaged workstation? How about a managed workstation?

For the longest time I just figured the difference was whose in Active Dir and whose not. Now...I'm not so sure. Am I way off here?

Thanks in advance!

managed vs unmanaged usually refers to remote control software and the ability, for example, of a help desk to take remote control of a pc for troubleshooting/updating purposes. AD is not a remote pc management software. MS's System Management Server [SMS] is.
