Hello,
I have a cable modem, with a router plugged into it. I have a 4 port hub plugged into the router. Everything is working fine.
My question is, can I plug another hub into the first hub? Would the router understand to assign more IP addresses to the additional hubs?
My goal is to plug more computers into my network, but I don't want to buy an 8 port hub, since I already have 2 smaller hubs. If I can't plug another hub into the first hub, is there another solution?
By the way, it's maybe worthy have a switch than a hub!!

unless there is a lot of parallel activity, it might not be worth the switch (eg: not a lot of local network activity) if it is mostly / all internet, there is no real advantage to the switch, it is all one bottleneck
