Are Rock USB LAN cards compatible with win7?

January 12, 2011 at 21:26:51
Specs: Windows 7, intel(R) Core(TM)i5 CPU 2.67GHZ INSTALLED MEMORY 4GB
My onboard network adaptor card died so I bought a Rock USB lan Card RJ-45. It worked for 30 mins then just stopped working. When I look at the device driver details, it recognises it, and also says the drivers are up to date. When i try to connect to the modem for internet connection it says ....There might be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Connection 4 adaptor. A network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken.......Ichanged the cable, still same message, I went to the internet on another computer to download drivers but it still says drivers are up to date. My system is a hp p6380a home pc. Running windows 7 64 bit. Im thinking that it might be a faulty usb card but when I spoke to a guy at a computer shop he said that they are not compatible with 64bit computers. Ok then why did it work for 30 - 1hour. Please help :)

If the manufacturer supplies drivers for 64-bit Windows 7, and it worked with them, then the guy in the computer shop is lying to you. Sounds like the card is broken. Ask for a replacement or your money back.
