Are you using WEP? Do you need to provide a WEP key in the mac's network setup? I'm not familiar at all with MacOS, but it would seem that there is some setting you have neglected to configure. There is nothing inherent to wireless networking that would make connecting your mac to a wireless network any different than a windows-based computer.

have same issue with dlink-G604T.
Tried both WPA and WEP (various connection strenths). Mac with recent Aitport card firmware and software (OSX 10.3 for me) automatically detect whether WEP or WPA is in use.
My dlink is detected as a 'base station', and will correcly detect whether I have WPA or WEP set up on the dlink device - however in every case it I then get that error message.
So if you work it out, please post your results here (as I will).
