I have been attempting to connect my PC to my wireless network for a long time (3 months)
Every time I connect to the wireless network, I get the "limited or no connectivity" message. I get No internet what so ever and have tried everything!
From what I have tried, I have used ipconfig /all and found out that my IP starts with 169.XXX.XXX.XXX , when I know it should start with 192.168.1.XXX, so that suggests, and I know, that it is not recieving an IP Address.
I am using the (dreaded) speedtouch 576 router provided by AOHell (sorry, AOL), and a D-Link wireless card (using the provided connectivity software - not Windows Wireless Zero)
Please Help ME!!!

Hey Matt,
Theres a few things that you need to worry about. From the information you gave i can tell that your wireless network connection is set to recieve an ip address automatically (dhcp), and because your computer is not receiving one it is showing and address of 169.254.xxx.xxx (APIPA). In order for your computer to receive an ip address the speedtouch must be set to hand them out (configured to act as a dhcp server). Im not sure if you know how to connect to the speedtouch's configuration so i'll include how to do it. Connect the speedtouch directly to the computer with a network cable. Change your local network connection (not the wireless one) to use a static ip address of 192.168.1.1 and a subnet mast of 255.255.255.0. Connect to the speedtouch by typing in it's ip address in internet explorer (the default is 192.168.1.254). At this point you need to make sure that it is set to dhcp. If it is not set to dhcp, change it to use dhcp and test your internet. Do all that and let me know what happens.

I had the same porblem and managed to solve it quite easily.
The reason I found was that the aol disc that came with the router does not give you the 128bit encrypted code generated from your 13 digit password.
When you connect to the wireless and it asks for the wep key it is the 128bit encrypted key that needs to be entered and not the original 13 digit code.
If you go to aol keyword 'broadband' and you can download the updated 576 driver, this one will give you the 128bit converted code that you need.
Hope this makes sense and helps you.
