I have 2 problems: 1. Can you network wirelessly with aol silver (£17.99 p/m), and 2. Can you use routers other than netgear ones! Thanks.

1)NO 2)Yes, but AOL will not support and I have had problems.
Ditch AOL, it is easier than trying to network with it IMO!

Your third and largest problem is the fact that you are using AOL. Follow the advice above and dump the pos. You'll find that not only will everything be easier but, you'll get so many fewer bots, you will be shocked.
