I am currently stuck with AOL dialup. I am an avid user of vmware player for linux experimentation. I need help figuring out how to attach the AOL dial up adapter to be able to use ICS with the vmware adapters so I can get my VM's online. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

You don't need ICS at all. ICS limits you to an ip that AOL will not work with. Most VM apps if not all offer a way that allows one to connect to the network interface card. That is a bit different from the way xp connects via dial up. Normally you do nothing and it will connect.
You might need a proxy program from analogx but I doubt it. I have used the proxy to connect to dialups to lans before so I know that will work.
Use the dhcp feature on the virtual computers OS. It will connect to the vm's virtual dhcp app. The vm then allows you to control exactly how the vm is allowed to connect to the host os. See doc's for each method or build a new vmx at easyvmx.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.
