Is there any software which should allow only one network connection at a time. For eg. if Ethernet is connected it should not allow Wireless or Aircard connection if Wirless is connected it should not allow Ethernet or aircard connection. Please advise.

Yes and no and maybe. For the most part people usually write in to ask how to connect them all at once.
Might want to tell us why you wish such a use for what application and we might have a better answer.

I'm not aware of any 3rd-party software to do this.
However, you can manually disable a NIC in Windows and Mac
