We have two computers. We used to connect by cable until one morning I received the error message "network cable unplugged." So we went wireless. The router is Linksys WRT54G and the modem is an ATT Motorola 2210. This computer works fine connected directly. The modem can no longer connect to the router. The unconnected computer is in my bedroom got a virus and I had to use the emachines recovery disc. That didn't help so I did an OEM install. Still can't connect. Hope this is confusing. Thank you.

If 'hope this is confusing" was your goal you succeeded.

When you say the router can't connect to the modem, how are you determining this?

Did you go into the router and see if its getting a wan ip from the modem?
When you say you can't connect wired to the router what do you mean? You can't get on the internet or you don't get a ip address from the router or no matter what port you get no cable connected?
