I'm a real network newbie so I hope people will be nice to me...

I am having problems networking my XP laptop (Sony Viao PG802) and my Win 98SE home PC (Athlon 850) using a crossover cable. The big problem is that the laptop is set up to access the LAN at work using TCP/IP on the 10.22.0.n domain. I have installed the Network card into my home pc and assigned it as 10.22.0.2 (the laptop is 10.22.0.150 and looks to 10.22.0.1 as the gateway for the office network). I cannot get the two computers to see each other.

Help!
