I need help! I am trying to use my Default FTP Site in IIS with the host\IUSER<computername> User for anonymous connections.

Whenever I try to ftp://ipaddress from windows explorer it repeatedly prompts me with the login credentials and nothing I try works. It puts it to anonymous automatically and it still repeatedly prompts me with that screen.

Also when I try to browse the Default FTP Site from IIS it says "Either the server does not allow anonymous logins or the e-mail address was not accepted.

I've checked the internet for similar problems and found a few but got lost on the solutions offered and had no idea what to do.

Please help me fix this problem!

is ur ftp dolder is on the same pc or someother shared folder..

if it is the same pc do this..

put tick mark on check box @ allow anonymouss @ parent FTp sites

and untick the check box @ allow anonymus @ default ftp site

so that u can access the ftp site after restarting the service with help of any local user account ..

if it is @ share folder check whether u have given correct Userbane and passswod on the 'Connect' option @ ftp folder path's tab

Thanks for the reply but I solved the issue by taking away anonymous access and providing credintials through the url.

ftp://username:pwd@host

this is works and is ok for what i need to do. Thanks for the response though.
