I am trying to make a network between two Windows XP computers using a crossover wire, but it doesn't work. There is uploading, but no downloading. It's like if no information were sent between each computer. Everything is connected properly, and the connections are enabled, but it still doesn't work. What are the exact steps that I need to follow to make a network between two computers work properly with a cross-over wire? (don't tell me to buy something else)

What I want to do is to share a folder and a cable connection.

Thanks.
