Specs: Windows XP
I am using a Netgear WNDR3400 wireless router, which was working fine until I reset it. Long story, but basically I didn't mean to do it.

I thought I knew what I was doing to correct the issue.

I Logged in from my wired PC with active internet.
I went to the Netgear 192.168.1.1 page to create the new SSID Name and passcode.
I hit apply at the bottom of the page.

I check the wireless laptop and it doesn't show the new SSID in the list.
I check the router status, and the wireless port information is hashed out -- .

Laptop still does not recognize the SSID for either the 2.4 or 5 GHQ b/g/n.

What am I missing?

Help!

In the router's configuration pages, make sure wireless is actually enabled as resetting the router may have disabled it.

Also, make sure your wireless SSID isn't hidden.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate;
I am the captain of my soul.
