I'm having cable modem broadband installed next week (NTL) and want to share internet on 3 pc's and a laptop which are already networked. All running XP in various flavours and network works fine most of the time. Just need advice on whether it's best to have one pc permanently on and use the internet sharing facility which seems to be built into XP, or whether it's better to get a switcher/router and share from there. I believe that the installation comes with a modem which has USB connection standard but also has ethernet facility - Which is better to use - I can't find many USB routers anyway. Any/all advice gladly received.
