Comment: Hi all, I currently have a host computer running Windows XP Pro which is connected to the internet using an Alcatel Speedtouch USB modem. I have one client computer which is connected by a crossover cable to the host computer and the internet connection is shared like that. However I do not want to have to rely on a host computer so I bought a broadband router. My router does not support USB modem input and my ADSL modem is USB only. Will I have to purchase a new ADSL modem with RJ45 connectivity? Thanks very much.

Reply: (edit)YES you need a RJ45 modem, alternatively you can buy combined Modem/Router or if you want to keep the USB modem look at this UK product: http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor2200usb.html
