My ADSL router has inbuilt firewall, and won't let me host FTP servers and the such like.

It's an Efficient Networks 5781 router, and to access the options, I use a web browser - http://192.168.254.254
When I go there, the only option it gives me is to modify my username and password for my ISP (BTopenworld).

Is there any way I can disable the firewall, or let a port route to my PC so I can host an FTP server?

Thanks, as this prob is driving me nuts!

By the way: The manual is available to download here:

http://support.efficient.com/docs/pdf/EN5700-01QS.pdf

The other thing is the admincenter shown in the manual looks nothing like the admincenter in the router, so I was wondering if it is possible via Telnet or something similar?

TIA.
