I had a problem in installing an ADSL modem (for about 1 week ( The standard way written in modem's catalog didn't work for me. I want to share the solution here: The way you install depends strongly on your ISP, its protocols, etc. I have modem : Planet ADU-2110A . Installing it using CD's autorun, worked on some computers and also by some other ISPs, but it did not work on my computer .I was installing it as WAN and repeatedly I got error 651 or error 721. The key work to do was not to install it as WAN but as LAN! 1. Plug your modem. 2. When windows asks you to install it, choose the radio button " Install from a list or specific location (advanced)" 3. press the browse button and select this directory : CDDriveName:\DRIVER\driver\ADSL\Lan and continue next steps. 4. Go to control panel -> Network connections -> create a new connection 5. Select these options 5. 1. Connect to internet 5.2. set up my connection manually 5.3. Connect using a broad band connection that requires a username and password. 5.4. Following steps are easy. Now by your last made connection you can connect.
