Think about what you just asked. You have a modem. You want to buy a wireless modem/router. Do you need two modems? No. Can you connect two modems? No
Getting the combined Modem/router/Wireless Access Point eliminates a couple of separate devices that you would otherwise need to provide power to run. So as you say you will be left with a spare ADSL modem. Either a USB wireless NIC or an internal wireless NIC for the PC will finish off the hardware required. Just be aware that in order to configure the router you normally need to provide a wired connection for log-in/admin purposes.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.
