Hello,

I have an old PC with Win98 and a dial up connection in it but without an RJ45 socket.

Is it possible to connect to the Internet (ADSL) using the dial up modem and how can I do that, if possible?

Thanks,
Robbins

You will need a NIC installed in order to link to the DSL modem, very cheap on ebay....

Keep the old stuff running

Save yourself the time and hassles of ebay and just go to any computer store. You can purchase a NIC very cheap anywhere these days.

If this dial up Modem is an analogue modem that dials conventional telephone numbers then you wont get ADSL with it.

To get ADSL, beside the NIC, you also need an ADSL modem which is digital and an ADSL connection on your telephone line.
