Has anyone ever used this? It's very slow when trying to do screen sharing and share control. Are there any other alternatives to this for screen sharing? Windows Remote Assistance is no good b/c not everyone has it.

I have used it. Yes, kind of slow but that depends of your connection. Most people have a very slow uplink speed.

There are all sorts of remote desktop, messenger, and stand alone products such as pcanywhere, vnc's, NX, and web based products such as logmein and gotomypc.

All have some +'s and -'s.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
