I have an existing wireless network Dlink 614+ wireless cable 4 port router hardwired to my windows 2k dell machine. I have two windows 98 machines connected wirelessly and I can print to the win 2k printer through the network with one of them. I just purchased a win xp gateway laptop with built in wireless capability. with my win xp machine i can surf the internet wirelessly but i'm having trouble seeing my other computers on the network. I can see the win xp machine on the win 2k machine but can't see whats on the win xp machine. I can't see anything on the network from my xp machine. I want to be able to print to the printer on the win 2k machine from the xp machine. thanks for the help.

Where I would start:
Check the workgroup (on all PC's if you like) and make sure the names are the same.
Also in my computer check the shared folder
right click-propertie, make sure the box that says "Make this folder private" is unchecked, and your allowing file shares.D-Link also has a very good setup disc to add other PC's to the network I would try the disc after I checked the two items above.

I now can see the xp laptop on the 2k machine under computers near me but when I double click on the little computer that represents the xp laptop i get the error message : \\mikeandlaynie is not accessible. The network path was not found. How do I fix that. Also I can only see the xp laptop on itself when I click on "workgroup" computers. I have named all the computers "workgroup". When you name a computer for the network are the names case sensitive? thanks. I can't find the dlink setup disc
