Hi,
I have got a bit of a problem and am hoping that someone out there knows if this is possible:
I currently have two computers networked with wireless network adaptors, they use a wireless router to get on to the internet via ADSL.
The problem is that I have just bought a new laptop (with a wireless PC-CARD)
that I want to be able to connect to the internet when I am at home. However, security is set up on the router and I have not got access to the router's password...
however I do have access to administrator accounts on all of the computers.
Is it possible for me to get the laptop to work with the router to go onto the internet, and if so, how?
Thankyou for your time.Tom

Go to the wireless routers web site, look up the model, and read through the manual, to find the default password. If the default has been changed, most routers can have the password reset manually. Just read through the manual all the info is there.

I think,,,,if my memory is correct by default, leave the password field blank, and just press submit. This of course is if you didn't change the password.

You may not need to make any changes to the router at all. Unless it requires the MAC address be added to a table you might get away with just giving the new laptop the same settings as one of your existing clients, including the WEP encryption key.
