Hello,
I have a dual processor Novell 5 server. It is conected directly to the main switch. The server has installed the main application (an old DOS btrieve application) that it is accesed simultaneously for 7 to 10 users.
This generate a lot of traffic and the performance decrease.
My question is:
In order to improve the network performance, Can I add a second NIC to the server?.
If so, Do I have to put in the same ip range (same subnet) or not?

Any other advice will be welcome.

Thank you in advance.

Juan.

the only way adding a second nic would help would be if it were setup as a "team" and used load balancing.
