Specs: Windows 29.08.2009
I currently have a wired PC connected to a single ethernet out DSL modem. I am buying a laptop for my daughter and would like to have a wireless connection for it. What will I need to get to make this happen?

You need a wired/wireless router.

Go ahead to get a wireless router, pretty cheap nowadays, after that configure that wireless router correctly and connect all computers to it with or without network cable. If you need more ideas, take a look on this wireless network setup tutorial.

Hope this helps.

When configuring the wireless network do use WPA encryption (not WEP) and do use a complex password. This will prevent others from using your wireless network.

It matters not how straight the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the captain of my soul.
