Hello forum, :o)
My home network constists of two PCs and the WORKGROUP is imagitatively named "LAN". :-)
My brother's computer is located on the other side of the city and he doesn't always have access to the Internet.
I want to add my brother's compuer to my WORKGROUP as a part of a peer-to-peer network so we can share files.
I want to tell my computer's modem to dial his telephone number and then I want his computer's modem to answer the call and establish the dialup networking connection.
I think this could be considered logically a "direct connection" although it is going through a switched network (PSTN/POTS). I certainly don't want to go through my ISP and my brother's ISP in order to connect to his computer.
Any links to "how to" tutorials or any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. :o)

Once you set up your brother's pc to accept dial in, and since you have the same group name, they will be fine. The connection will be very slow because the NetBeui is very chatty.
