I want to add my new laptop to my company's wireless network. The laptop has wireless lan built-in. What does the network admin have to do? What do I need to configure on my laptop?
The old believe everything, the middle-aged suspect everything, the young know everything.

You or your admin will have to do the basics first like add your computer to the domain and give you the correct permissions. Then you will have to get the correct SSID name for your wireless network. I'm sure, well I hope, that your company is using some type of security for your wireless network and that wireless security key will have to be entered on your adatper.

Another thought, if your admin is using some type of MAC filtering then your MAC address of your adapter will also have to be added for security reasons.
