I have a question about setting up a wireless network with 3 computers, Would the following setup work? One computer(Computer A) has a WiFi card and a regular NIC and is connected to the internet through USB, another computer(B) has just a WiFi Card and the last computer(C) just has a NIC. Could I connect A and B with an Ad Hoc Network and Connect A and C with a crossover Cable. Computer A is running WIndows server 2003 and SHaring the Internet Connection with NAT and is a CHCP Server. I need the cheapest way to do this since the Computer B will be costing me $1500 and I already have computers A and C conected. Also all WiFi Cards support Ad Hoc mode right?

I do believe that method would work since only A and B are talking over wireless. A and C should be able to talk since they are "directly" connected.

Here is a solution because the more I think about your situation the more I get confused. If you go to cpx.com, look at the skw811. This is a wireless gateway/router. It has a wireless pcmcia slot on the router to make it wireless as well as a wireless usb adapter. Connect computer A with computer C in the router and set computer B as Ad Hoc. By doing this it will solve all your issues. Your setup with computer A will give you problems because wifi and nic can not, to my knowledge, be used at the same time. I hope this will help you.

WHy wouldn't it work? It isn't really that different than having 2 NICs in a computer. Plus, I dont have $100+ for a soultion to this but thanks for the help.
