I have just purchased two D-Link DWL-G520 wireless PCI cards. One is in a 2000 server machine, and the other in WinXP MCE machine. I am connection them via ad hoc mode, and everything seems to be ok until I try to transfer a large file (600meg) from one machine to the other. As soon as I do, the connection drops. It reconnects on it's own, and starts to copy, but that only last a second or two before it drops again. I've read that the "zero point wireless service" can cause these symptoms, but after the change, I'm still getting the drops. Before, during, and after the drop, the signal quality is reported as excelent. The machines are only about 20 to 30 feet apart. Does anyone have any idea's. Thanks in advance.
