Please forgive me if there is another post that already answers this question, but I haven't been able to find my situation specifically addressed anywhere. If I'm wrong, please feel free to direct me to that post.

I am trying to set up ICS with an "Ad hoc" WLAN. The host computer runs Win2000-Pro, and the client runs WindowsXP-Home. The direct connection to the internet is through the Win2000 system and is a modem dialup.

I can get file/printer sharing working, But I cannot get internet access on the client. I have read help files and all the manuals, but for some reason it still isn't working.

I have set the dialup connection on the host computer to allow sharing through the WLAN, and I believe I have also set the client machine up correctly.

I am new to networking and wonder if there are any inherent problems networking an XP system with a 2000 system and having the 2000 system host the internet connection.

Thank you.
