I have a computer that is connected to sbs 2003, it needs to have the sbs on before it can boot.
I would like to take it off the server so that it can boot independantly as it once did.
Is there a way to turn off active directory?

I'd rather not format and start over, even though I have good backups.

any suggections?

Did you try to disjoin it from the domain? Make sure you set a local administrator password first.
