Specs: Windows 7, 8GB.
Why do I have to reboot my Actiontec gateway 7 or 8 times a day? Is this normal now days with any of the DSL services? I have Century link New computer.

No this isn't normal. Typically it signifies a problem with either the firmware, the configuration or the hardware.

Try the following troubleshooting steps:

Step 1. Recycle the power on your device (ie: unplug it, count to ten slowly, then plug it back in) and see if that doesn't fix the issue.

Step 2. If that doesn't work, check for a newer version of the firmware. If there's a newer one, apply it.

Step 3. If it doesn't fix the issue, the next thing to do is reset the device to factory defaults and then reconfigure it.

Step 4. If that doesn't work, you may need to replace the device as the hardware may be bad.
