We have two laptops. One can access the internet just fine. The other says it's connected, but you can't get online. The same old message...You are not connected to the internet ...pops up I have spent hours on the phone with Verizon and linksys. The modem works, the router works, but not one of the laptops. HELP!

On both laptops, open a command prompt window and type the following command:

ipconfig /all

All TCP/IP settings should be identical on both units with the exception of the actual IP address.

If this is not true in your case, post the output of both in here and we'll tell you which one needs changing.

ok. I tried that. The IP adresses are different, at least the last number is different. Now what?
